In this episode of the Lions of Liberty Podcast, I am joined by WWE Wrestler and libertarian activist, Glenn Jacobs. Glenn discusses how he came to understand libertarian ideas, the difference between Austrian economics and mainstream economics, the problem with Milton Friedman, and shatters some myths about libertarianism. He also takes questions from our listeners!
Plus, Marc announces a special contest for Lions of Liberty listeners!
Glenn Jacobs is a great voice for liberty and the fact that he takes the time out of his physically taxing career in order to reach out and spread the ideas of liberty is a true testament to his character. As we discuss in the podcast, once one becomes passionate about all this liberty stuff, it’s hard to shut ‘em up! Jacobs not only has the knowledge of economics and history to back up his philosophical leanings, but he is able to articulate them in such a way that the “man on the street” can easily understand them. This is a valuable combination to have for those advancing the ideas of liberty.
The paper by Ludwig von Mises which Glenn references in this interview: Economic Calculation in the Socialist Commonwealth
My article from earlier this year on Jacob’s rumored Senate run: The Big Red…Senator from Tennessee?
