In today’s episode, host Marc Clair is joined by the President of the Mises Institute – and former chief of staff to Congressman Ron Paul – Jeff Deist! Marc and Jeff start things off discussing how Jeff first became interested in the ideas of liberty, and what it was like to work for Ron Paul. They then go on to break down the recent talk Jeff gave at the Dallas-Ft. Worth Mises Circle in which he breaks down some silver linings to the 2016 election, including how the mainstream media has lost control of the narrative in U.S. politics, and why the progressive left has largely been exposed as authoritarian. They go on to discuss why the Johnson-Weld LP campaign was ineffective at advancing the ideas of liberty, and what a proper libertarian political platform should look like.
