Believe it or not, liberty does actually have deeper philosophical meanings that go beyond things like being against taxes or loving Ron Paul. Advancing the philosophy of liberty is something we’d like to expand upon here at Lions of Liberty and will be doing so in greater detail in further posts. Well the beginning of the week is a bit crazy for the Lions of Liberty, so things are slow….but have no fear there will be several exciting, inspirational and educational posts coming shortly. Until then, ABC/Yahoo recently did an interview with Ron Paul which I found to be interesting in that he was able to address some of the more broader ideas of libertarianism. He is also able to give a rebuttal to current Progressive icon Elizabeth Warren’s quote that

Some of my greatest heroes have advocated and succesfully created change through civil disobedience, whether it’s Ghandi or Mohammed Ali or Rosa Parks or Martin Luther King. Discussing issues from the libertarian perspective can ostracize you quite rapidly in most economic/social/political discussions. A few words we use that are associated with right wing canned mantras can alert others that you may be a neocon and are not intellectually able to defend yourself. Or on the opposing end they will alert rightwingers to your being too liberal or out of touch. They think they heard your same take on Fox News or Rachel Maddow. This is unfortunate and
