Something happens to the human body after 48 hours or so in Las Vegas. For a solid week afterward, it essentially rebels against the mind that ordered it through a seemingly pointless hardcore bootcamp of consumption and a complete lack of regard for the most basic of health tenets. Exhausted and need to get some shuteye? Have fun tossing and turning all night. Need to finally grab a bite to eat after a weekend of forgetting that food comes in solid form?
I don’t put much faith in these debates and neither should you. If you decide your voting preferences on the little snippets that these shows provide then you probably haven’t done your due diligence. I found this particularly true in the case of our champion of liberty Ron Paul. Paul, by his own admission and the critiques of many, is not a great debater and besides, you should know his answers to all the silly questions before he even responds.
Just in case you didn’t realize it, we are here to inform you that Ron Paul is not only still in the race, but also a growing force to be reckoned with. It looks like the media has found its timely darling in Rick Santorum….again, and its nationwide disciples are playing along. His latest surge depresses me more than his last go round, but this one worries me a lot less. We’ve seen this before and we will see it
Hi all. Friend of Lions of Liberty, Brian Engelman of The NewAmerican Media, had the opportunity to interview former Louisiana Governor and 2012 GOP Presidential Candidate Buddy Roemer. The interview features several questions from Lions of Liberty bloggers Marc and Odie, and it’s refreshing to hear from a voice that has been blacked out by the media even worse than Lions of Liberty favorite Ron Paul. We appreciate Governor Roemer taking the time to give an in depth interview and
Results may never actually be in officially for Maine’s caucus, held this past weekend, as the state’s GOP Chairman, Charlie Webster, stated that any results that were submitted after the 11th would not count in the vote totals. “Some caucuses decided not to participate in this poll and will caucus after this announcement,” Webster told the Associated Press February 11. “Their results will not be factored in. The absent votes will not be factored into this announcement after the fact.”
Normally, I avoid posting blogs in list form. The bewildering success of Rick Santorum’s candidacy for the GOP Nomination requires an unconventional response. His recent victories in Missouri, Minnesota, and Colorado, have provided the demand to expose his fraudulent conservative credentials. Under these circumstances, a clear, concise list is the best vehicle to deliver this message. Other than a year long stint in Atlanta and a little over a year spent living in California, I have lived in Pennsylvania my entire
Typically when a politician talks of “winning the hearts and minds of the people”, they’re referring to our military efforts in some far away land, as if it’s guns, tanks and bombs that can change the way people view the world. And I suppose in many ways they do, just not in the ways we might envision. But any meaningful, lasting revolution must be a peaceful one driven by ideas, not brute force. Mahatma Gandhi expelled the British Empire this
Joe Paterno and Ron Paul are both legends who gained influence by challenging the status quo. Paterno challenged his student athletes to be successful on the football field, in the classroom, and most importantly in life. Ron Paul has challenged the special interests in Washington, and has proven that it’s possible to be a member of congress for 20 years and never vote to raise taxes, never vote for an unbalanced budgeted, and never vote against the constitution. Both are humble, small
Maybe, just maybe. But either way, Ron Paul is a little fired up about liberty, so it’s hard for us not to be too. Despite getting only 7% of the Diebold-counted vote in a state he didn’t campaign in, didn’t spend a single dollar on advertising in, and had zero campaign staff in, Paul is as energetic as ever. That’s because he knows that this race is not only about spreading the message of liberty, but also about racking up
On this fine Sunday morning I had the rare opportunity to watch an interview with Ron Paul live on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Candy Crowley. Paul discussed the campaign and why he is currently campaigning in Maine while everyone else is focused on Florida. As has become commonplace with mainstream interviews – and debate questions – Crowley starts out by asking Paul what it would take for him to drop out of the race and if he will continue
