Obama has finally (FINALLY) apologized to the American people whom he hornswaggled out of their healthcare plans through his assurances regarding being able to keep ones own insurance plan once Obamacare was enacted. Said the Prez:
“I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me,” he told NBC News in an exclusive interview at the White House.“We’ve got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this.”[…]“Obviously we didn’t do a good enough job in terms of how we crafted the law,” Obama said in the interview Thursday. “And, you know, that’s something I regret. That’s something we’re gonna do everything we can to get fixed … We’re looking at a range of options.”
I’d like to point out that this apology would have been in no way forthcoming if Obama hadn’t been caught in his lie about exactly what was promised, on video, multiple times. But hey, at some point there’s just nothing more to be gained, so an apology has to be issued.
What Obama isn’t apologizing for is stripping away Constitutional liberties and governance over one’s own body that were taken when the Affordable Care Act passed. Nor has he apologized yet for the infringement on the 4th Amendment undertaken by the NSA thought the PRISM scandal, wherein the government has been spying on its own citizens communications.
It will be exciting to see if he issues one gigantic, 7,000 word apology at the end of his term for all of the wrongs he has perpetrated on the American people to date, plus those yet to come. Maybe the U.S. Mint will issue a souvenir coin with Obama’s face on the front and the FED on the back, worth negative $5, which reads “I’m so sorry! 2016”
