Happy New Year! Here’s the first Morning Roar of 2015!
Press Conference On Resolution To Declassify 9/11 Report Announced
We reported in August of 2014 that Ron Paul had begun a campaign to raise support for House Resolution 428. The resolution, introduced by Representatives Walter Jones (R-NC) and Stephen Lynch (D-Mass), seeks to get the administration to declassify twenty-eight redacted pages from the 9/11 report.
Now Representatives Jones and Lynch are bringing former Florida Senator Bob Graham on board. The three will be holding a bipartisan press conference to bring more attention to H.R. 428. Senator Graham was the chair of the Select Committee on Intelligence during the time the Joint Inquiry was written. He has repeatedly called for the twenty-eight pages to be declassified.
The announcement was made via press release on Representative Walter B. Jones’ House of Representatives official page.
On Wednesday, January 7, Representatives Walter B. Jones (NC-3), Stephen Lynch (MA-8), and Senator Bob Graham (FL) will hold a bipartisan press conference on H. Res. 428, a resolution that calls on President Obama to declassify the 28 pages of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001 that were initially classified by President George W. Bush and have remained classified under President Barack Obama. Senator Graham was the chair of the Select Committee on Intelligence when the Joint Inquiry was written and has repeatedly called for the 28 pages to be declassified. H. Res. 428 states that declassification of the pages is necessary to provide the American public with the full truth surrounding the tragic events of September 11, 2001, particularly relating to the involvement of foreign governments. Congressmen Jones, Lynch, and Massie will introduce H. Res. 428 into the 114th Congress.
The contents of these classified pages of the 9/11 report have the potential to “rearrange one’s perception of history,” according to Representative Thomas Massie.
The declassification of these pages should be an issue that every American, regardless of political affiliation, should have at the top of their agenda in the coming year. The American people deserve to know the whole truth regarding 9/11, no matter how embarrassing it will be to the United States government, their allies, and individuals in positions of leadership at the time the tragedy occurred. It is a great injustice that the truth is being withheld from those that lost loved ones on that fateful day.
The declassification of these 28 pages in 2015 was predicted by Editor-in-Chief Marc Clair on our New Year’s Special…be sure to check it out!
10 Outrageous “Zero Tolerance” Follies
The concept of “zero tolerance” in the enforcement of law and rules can often create injustices when things such as intent, common sense, context, etc. are ignored. This is particularly relevant in our nation’s schools. Reason magazine recently broke down a list of 10 outrageous “Zero Tolerance” Follies; the full list and commentary can be found there. In order to give you a taste of the insanity I’ll list the first five of the illogical follies identified on the Reason Blog.
Who needs common sense when you have bureaucrats running the education system? The only reason insane rules like these are able to be implemented is because so many parents have completely divorced themselves from actively participating in the education of their children.
Let’s hope parents begin to step-up in 2015 and bring logic and reason back into the education system.

Popular Live Sports Streaming Site Shutdown
Every day more individuals cut the cable cord and begin to select the content they choose to consume, rather than allowing the cables companies to dictate viewing choices. Sadly, not all content that consumers would like to view is consistently available to be streamed live on the internet.
Most of the content that is “blacked-out” are sporting events due to licensing issues. This has caused many consumers to turn to “illegal” sites such as Wiziwig.com to meet the demand for their sports viewing. WiziWig operates out of Spain and serves as a hub for users to share live streams of sporting events. Naturally, this became a wildly popular site for consumers and an immediate enemy of sports leagues and television networks across the globe. Unfortunately, it looks like the billion dollar networks and sports leagues have won out over the lowly consumer.
Today is a sad day for all fans of live sports streaming, as we at Wiziwig have to announce that we’re forced to close our website, at least for now. This due to new laws in Spain which will get into force starting tomorrow, the 1st January 2015. Failing to comply with the new reform puts us at risks of fines being as high as € 600.000,- and also losing our domain, hosting and other necessary stuff to operate wiziwig.
We’ve decided to join a new project, called GetYourFixtures.com, on which you can find tv listings for many live sports events but also links to official streaming. So please check out this interesting website by clicking the logo or links below:
We would like to thank you for visiting our site in the past years. Also a huge thanks to our hosting, the moderators, streamers and all others who’ve provided us with links. Big thanks!
This reminds me of a period of time over a decade ago when Napster was shut down by the feds. The business model Napster utilized was sound, but it was illegal. The laws had not yet caught up to the demand of the people. I think the same thing is occurring with sports viewing and media in general. Individuals and families no longer want the content they choose to view to be dictated by a network. The consumer is ready for complete on-demand viewing. We just have to wait for the busybodies that draft and enforce the laws to catch up to the consumer.
