Strip Search Nation

You may have noticed this blog has been a little quiet lately (you did notice...right?) but fear not, the Lions of Liberty are alive and well.  We've taken a step back with good reason, as we've been hard at work on our BRAND NEW WEBSITE coming...soon. Very soon.  So please continue to be patient, as we've got a lot in store in the weeks ahead! If anything is going to get us to pop our heads out of web design central for a minute, it's a little nudity. Or maybe a lot of nudity, depending on just how perverted the ranks of our nation's police turn out to be.  Apparently on a break from deciding the fate of the nation's healthcare system, our nine robed masters in the Supreme Court found the time to rule on the case of Albert Florence.  In summary, via HuffPo:

In 2005, Albert Florence was riding in the passenger seat as his wife drove him and one of their three children to her mother's house for dinner. A New Jersey state trooper pulled the car over and arrested Florence under a civil contempt order for failure to pay a fine that he had, in fact, paid in full. Over the course of six days, he was taken to two county jails and strip searched upon entry to each, even though there was no reason to suspect that he was carrying any contraband that threatened jailhouse security, let alone that he was guilty of any criminal offense.

The number of levels that the fine folks of New Jersey law enforcement messed up on this one would be shocking if it didn't exemplify everything we know about the nature of government.   First off Mr. Florence was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for speeding, not the one speeding. He shouldn't have even been asked for ID, let alone had his name run through whatever system tracks these "fines" in New Jersey. Second, not paying a fine in New Jersey is not a criminal offense.  It is not something that requires a "suspect" to be taken to prison, let alone multiple prisons over the course of six days. And thirdly of course, he had already paid the fine. Now it may very well be the case that everything that happened to Mr. Florence was a series of honest mistakes.  I have no reason to think there is some evil police chief sitting behind a desk in Trenton, NJ petting his hairless cat and spinning a yo-yo whilst plotting to grab adult men for non-crimes and having them strip searched by New Jersey's Finest.  The fact that Mr. Florence underwent this specific experience isn't nearly as important as the Supreme Court's ruling on it.   The Supreme Court is essentially saying that it doesn't matter who you are or even if you are suspected of a crime - the police can hold you and strip search all they want regardless. One of the scariest things about this decisions is the statement by Justice Kennedy that even people arrested for minor crimes can end up being "the most devious and dangerous criminals", citing the case of Timothy McVeigh.  The logic of of this "Supreme" justice is frightening and all-too-normal amongst government nowadays.  It's logical conclusion is that every single one of us is a potential terrorist, so anyone taken into custody by law enforcement should be should be treated like the worst possible type of criminal. Because hey, anyone could be the next Timothy McVeigh!

This is the same logic that the TSA uses with it's naked body-scanners and aggressive "patdowns" of everyone from 6 year old girls to Granny.  The idea is the same.  Anybody that buys a plane ticket is presumed guilty and treated as a terrorist until proven otherwise.  "Let us see whatcha got under there" is the new mantra of law enforcement. Remember when it was "how can I help you today, good citizen?". Yeah, me neither.Presumption of guilt. Treating all citizens like criminals.  Strip searches and patdowns for all.  To say we're living in the dystopian future of 1984 is an understatement.  Even Orwell didn't foresee Big Brother as Big Creepy Molester Brother. The next time you hear from this blogger it will hopefully be on our (have I mentioned this yet?) BRAND NEW WEBSITE.  But until then...be sure to drive the speed limit and pay those parking tickets, lest you become just another victim of Strip Search Nation.Receive access to ALL of our EXCLUSIVE bonus audio content – including “Conspiracy Corner”, “Degenerate Gamblers” and the “League of Liberty Podcast” by joining the Lions of Liberty Pride and supporting us on Patreon!
