Michelle Obama Speech Bravely Talks Presidential Values Without Irony

I'd like to briefly tackle the "speech that spurred a billion Tweets," according the the liberal media, made by Michelle Obama last night at the Democratic National Convention. As with any Obama speech, male or female, it was filled with empty rhetoric, and the smug knowledge that the speaker knows what's best for all of us poor, hapless idiots out here in 'Merica. And of course, it was also filled with ridiculous falsehoods. Let's just take it chronologically, shall we? Michelle's excerpted speech quotes will be followed by my commentary.Regarding Military Action:

...And I’ve seen it in our men and women in uniform and our proud military families … in wounded warriors who tell me they’re not just going to walk again, they’re going to run, and they’re going to run marathons … in the young man blinded by a bomb in Afghanistan who said, simply, “I’d give my eyes 100 times again to have the chance to do what I have done and what I can still do.”

Really? That's what the guy said after he lost his eyes? Because every single report I have read is that our troops know that Afghanistan is a quagmire that we have no hope of ever changing in any way. That the police and domestic forces we train there work regularly with the Taliban, and that our troop morale is dismal. She must have met the most morphined-up, just watched 14 Disney movies back-to-back soldier that has ever lived. Or just made it up, which is far more likely. No mention, of course, of the promises Barack made to get us out of all of the foreign wars we had entered, only to actually send more troops over to Afghanistan, in addition to starting new military fronts in other countries. On Work Ethic and Entrepreneurship:

...They simply believed in that fundamental American promise that, even if you don’t start out with much, if you work hard and do what you’re supposed to do, then you should be able to build a decent life for yourself and an even better life for your kids and grandkids......We learned about honesty and integrity – that the truth matters…that you don’t take shortcuts or play by your own set of rules … and success doesn’t count unless you earn it fair and square.

Wait, wasn't your husband the one who said that your hard work didn't matter because "You didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen"?

...I have seen firsthand that being president doesn’t change who you are – it reveals who you are.

Oh, and it has, Michelle. We all can see exactly who Barack Obama is now - a standard copy of the big government politician, who is just as war friendly and Federal Reserve friendly as his predecessor, G.W. Bush. But at least Bush didn't murder 16 year old children with drone attacks. Mind you, he probably would have if he had the drone tech that Obama liberally uses.

And I’ve seen how the issues that come across a president’s desk are always the hard ones – the problems where no amount of data or numbers will get you to the right answer … the judgment calls where the stakes are so high, and there is no margin for error. But at the end of the day, when it comes time to make that decision, as president, all you have to guide you are your values, and your vision, and the life experiences that make you who you are.

And Barack Obama's past guided him to create a Presidential Kill List, which allows for the assassination not only of anyone the U.S. brands to be a terrorist abroad, but also right here in America! Naturally, there is no trial needed - that's not in Obama's value system. Due Process doesn't even get a spot next to the stapler on Barack's desk.On Economy:

That’s how he brought our economy from the brink of collapse to creating jobs again – jobs you can raise a family on, good jobs right here in the United States of America.

Obama hasn't created anything. His horrible job stimulus has cost $800BB to keep existing jobs at the cost of an estimated $270,000 per job and we've all seen how terribly the push to invest in green energy has failed to the tune of billions lost.On Healthcare:

He did it because he believes that here in America, our grandparents should be able to afford their medicine … our kids should be able to see a doctor when they’re sick…and no one in this country should ever go broke because of an accident or illness.

That's all very nice, even though Obamacare will drive up health care premiums now that everyone has to be covered, doctors hate it and it goes against the Constitution by demanding that American's must purchase a good/service against their will if they don't want to be insured. It also opens a Pandora's box for further government mandates for what we can or can't eat or use, or have to buy to protect ourselves from harm.On Education:

That’s why Barack has fought so hard to increase student aid and keep interest rates down, because he wants every young person to fulfill their promise and be able to attend college without a mountain of debt.

It's not a right to attend a college - it is a privilege, and if you can't afford it, you should either work hard and save money until you can, or you take the debt that comes along with a higher education. A college degree is overvalued anyway - everyone has one so they mean virtually nothing in today's society. It is not the government's role to make secondary eduction available to everyone, and tax dollars are better spent elsewhere, or staying in the pockets of the citizens who can then use them to (gasp!) pay for college. All in all, this speech was a bunch of emotional garbage to show how down to earth and human Barack is supposed to be as opposed to his doppelganger on the other side, Romney. Just like Barack Obama's speeches in 2008, when he won on a platform that was 90% rhetoric and empty promises, Michelle is keeping that torch lit, espousing stories of the (non-existent) American dream that can inspire those who are easily swayed by fairy tales rather than harsh reality.Receive access to ALL of our EXCLUSIVE bonus audio content – including “Conspiracy Corner”, “Degenerate Gamblers” and the “League of Liberty Podcast” by joining the Lions of Liberty Pride and supporting us on Patreon!
