The Year In Liberty

2012 has been quite a year, our first as full-fledged liberty promoting website, and having this platform to advance the ideals of liberty daily has truly been a phenomenal experience.  We certainly have a much broader readership than we did during our early Blogger days, and I think I can speak  for all of us when I say that we have all grown quite as writers and libertarian thinkers in that time. Many outside the movement will look at Ron Paul's failure to capture the GOP nomination and the Presidency as evidence that the liberty movement has failed and fluttered out.  In reality we have noticed the exact opposite trend.  Dr. Paul's campaign was a vehicle, one that chauffeured many of us into the liberty movement.  The significance of the Ron Paul campaign should not be underplayed, but the liberty movement has grown so much larger outside of the campaign than mere primary and convention results might expect.  This is evident in our daily lives as well as in extremely low voter turnout in 2012. No matter how you look at it, it is clear that people are turning more and more away from politics as a solution, and this can only be seen as a positive when it comes to advancing the ideals of liberty.  We are proud to be part of a movement promoting non-violent, non-political solutions to the ills of the world. We truly appreciate every single person who has taken the time out of their day to read this site in the past, whether you're a regular reader or just accidentally stumbled upon an article during your daily internet loop.  And what better way to reflect on liberty than to deliver a Top Ten List!
