Rand Paul Introduces Bill To Ban F-16 and M1 Tank Sales To Egypt

While we question Rand Paul where appropriate, the man does get things right more often than most of the pawns in Congress. Senator Paul introduced a bill today to ban the sale of F-16 fighters and M1 Tanks to Egypt, citing the political turmoil of the country as the primary reason. This follows his bill to end foreign aid to Egypt, proposed several months ago. He also mentions something that we have had a good laugh about here amongst the editors: namely that the people of Egypt overthrew a tyrannical government (to the utter joy and triumph of Americans...) that was then immediately replaced by another tyrannical government. One which practices indefinite detention for its citizens. Something that President Obama has already given his hearty approval for right here in the U.S. with the dreaded NDAA.Rand Paul is correct in wanting the U.S. to practice safe sales to nations that are already on the razor thin line between friend and foe - do we want another Iran on our hands, with the potential to  attack us with our own weapons? Memories of the Iran-Contra affair have already faded it seems. I would expect the push to up sales of military hardware to foreign nations to increase as the defense budget cuts are enacted. But we should tread carefully when deciding who receives some of the most sophisticated military technology on the market.Receive access to ALL of our EXCLUSIVE bonus audio content – including “Conspiracy Corner”, “Degenerate Gamblers” and the “League of Liberty Podcast” by joining the Lions of Liberty Pride and supporting us on Patreon!
