British Soldier Brutally Murdered With A Machete

Today in Woolwich London two men savagely murdered a person believed to be a British soldier.  The gruesome crime was carried out with a machete and a meat cleaver in broad daylight.  Witnesses watched the horror unfold and recorded video and snapped pictures of the unimaginable tragedy.  The Telegraph has updated coverage as the story continues to develop.A witness describes the brutal murder and the selfless acts of two women who shielded the dead body from the savages.

The witness who spoke to LBC, called James, says there were "brave women" present who were shielding the victim at the scene. He tells the radio station: "We saw clearly two knives, meat cleavers. They were big kitchen knives like you would use in a butcher's. They were hacking at this poor guy. We thought they were trying to remove organs from him."These two guys were crazed, they were not there, they were just animals. They then dragged him from the pavement and dumped his body in the middle of the road."They took 20 minutes to arrive, the police - the armed response."There was only a few people at first, then traffic began to build up because people were getting out of their cars to shout at them. They were taking no notice, they were standing there, I think they were proud of what they were doing."When they dumped the body in the road, these two black guys had the opportunity to hurt other people if they wanted to because there were brave women with the dead guy on the floor. They were shielding and covering him. The attackers with the knives were standing over these women."

Britain's strict gun control law did not appear to deter the suspects as the crime is believed to have been carried out with a machete and meat clever.  Witnesses also claim at least one suspect was carrying a gun.  The gun does not appear to have been used in the attack. This murder of a British soldier is being called a terrorist attack.  The victim was said to be wearing a “Help for Heroes” t-shirt and appears to have been targeted by the suspects.  Eye witnesses at the scene claimed the suspects were screaming, "Allahu Akbar" and in a video taken by a witness it is claimed the suspects said, “This British soldier is an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”In the aftermath of this unthinkable tragedy the world will examine this event and look to offer solutions that attempt to prevent similar incidents from occurring in Britain and around the globe.   The governments of the world will offer responses that they claim will make people safer.  Perhaps a ban on meat cleavers and other inanimate objects will be sold to the public as increased safety measures.  Perhaps the murder will supply the State with another reason to bomb another foreign land into the stone age.The truth of the matter being the actions of the State makes the individual less safe more often than not.  Intervention in the affairs of foreign countries’ and wars that cause death and destruction provide the motivation that radical Islam requires to stimulate recruiting and grow their ranks. The CIA refers to the unintended consequence associated with meddling in the business of foreign countries as blowback.  Last week, we discussed the mainstream media’s disregard for the role of blowback played in the Benghazi scandal. From the preliminary reports it appears that these lunatics were motivated to perpetrate this crime due to Britain's involvement in foreign wars.  This explanation does not blame the people of Britain for this attack, but simply identifies the origin of the motivation that contributes to growth in radical Islam.   It would be irresponsible to not examine the provocation behind atrocities of this nature.Additionally, governments make the individual less safe, especially in this instance, by stripping away liberties.  It is certainly possible that this innocent man’s life could have been saved if the citizens of Britain were afforded the right to defend themselves and their property. In Britain today, like many cities in the United States, firearms not allowed to be carried.  Imagine if one of the individuals that witnessed this horrific tragedy was carrying a Sig Sauer 40SW instead of a Sony video camera.  Perhaps they could have saved an innocent man’s life.  Instead they were left to wait twenty minutes for the police to arrive. For decades government solutions throughout the world have infringed upon liberties and made citizens less safe.  It is time to reverse the trend.
