Why the Constitution Had to Be Destroyed...And How They Did It
"But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist." - Lysander SpoonerIf you're like me, you're still recovering from all the Constitution Day parties in which we celebrate one of our founding documents that ultimately failed to prevent the government we have now. Presidents, Senators, servicemen, and other regal representatives all take an oath to defend the Constitution from both enemies foreign and domestic, and yet, somehow, a piece of paper, signed by men who have been dead for quite some time, has been unable to chain down those who wield a monopoly on the use of force.Ambitious politicians have no time for rules. They have plans to execute (along with dissenters) and special interests to serve. Alexander Hamilton led the Nationalists in their cause of creating a big, centralized government, but the Jeffersonians and the pesky Constitution always seemed to be in their way. After decades of losing Constitutional arguments to the Jeffersonians, the Nationalists finally had their man in power - Abraham Lincoln. With Father Abraham at the helm, the "American System" of high protectionist tariffs, nationalized banking, corporate welfare, and rampant militarism was put into place. The argument was not won through lengthy debates in the halls of Congress, but through force. In order to establish the system that Lincoln worked for throughout his political career, he plunged the nation into war. Here's economist Thomas DiLorenzo on Why the Constitution Had to Be Destroyed:http://youtu.be/wDyDxgJuaDYReceive access to ALL of our EXCLUSIVE bonus audio content – including “Conspiracy Corner”, “Degenerate Gamblers” and the “League of Liberty Podcast” by joining the Lions of Liberty Pride and supporting us on Patreon!
