A Lesson from the Navy Yard Shooting Video
The FBI released the video of the Navy Yard shooter entering the complex with a loaded weapon and proceeding to shoot and kill 12 people. We can learn an important lesson from this footage.I know what you're thinking: He's about to rant about the how the Navy Yard, despite being populated by soldiers trained in the use of their weapons, is a "Gun-free zone", and not only that , it's "Gun-Free Zone" within a "Gun-Free Zone" as DC has some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the nation.Wrong! Unless you count my summary of a potential rant as a rant....now where were we?Oh yes, the video:http://youtu.be/1dsLQLVk7nYAbout :12 seconds into the video, it can be clearly seen that the shooter is wearing not one, but two security badges. It seems these two levels of security are what granted him access to the facility. It would be reasonable to presume that this man has gone through extensive background checks to achieve his security clearance. So how does this happen? This is just another example that government security is a myth. We cannot trust the government to protect us. The only thing that can protect people is freedom - the freedom to defend oneself, or to let the market work out the best methods in which to provide security for customers.(h/t Robert Wenzel)Receive access to ALL of our EXCLUSIVE bonus audio content – including “Conspiracy Corner”, “Degenerate Gamblers” and the “League of Liberty Podcast” by joining the Lions of Liberty Pride and supporting us on Patreon!
