Danish Get Out The Vote Cartoon Features Violence, Sex, and More Violence
Ladies and gentlemen, the video you are about to watch below is an advertisement that was posted on the official EU parliamentary website with the intention of getting young people to vote in the May 25th election. I repeat, this was a real get out the vote video released in Denmark.The commercial, which has now been pulled from the parliamentary website, depicts a buff cartoon character by the name of Voteman. The short gets off to a splendid start when Voteman chops off the head of a citizen that does not plan on voting. From there the antics of Voteman only get more ridiculous.The video includes an orgy scene with Voteman getting it on with several women. The implied message being, if you vote, then women will have sex with you!After the orgy, Voteman rides dolphins to the next scene to force more people to vote. There is a common theme throughout the video of Voteman using force to make people cast a vote at the polls. He even throws a couple having sex through a window, mattress and all. The short concludes with Voteman launching reluctant voters through windows into the polling station.The cartoon short cost around $37,000 to make.
