TMR: More Than $6 Trillion of U.S. Government Debt Foreign Owned, Mysterious Phony Cell Towers Intercepting Calls, Former CIA Contractor Calls ISIS A Fabricated Enemy

You know it is a crazy news day when there is no room in The Morning Roar for a story reporting on Mitt Romney’s admission that he stole the GOP nomination in 2012. Alas, there are more important events shaking the world to the core this Wednesday morning!More Than $6 Trillion of U.S. Government Debt Foreign OwnedOver the past few months the topic of the exorbitant national debt has faded to the background as chaos in the Middle East and Europe, along with racially charged domestic incidents have surged to the top of most American’s news feeds. As Americans have shifted their attention to these issues, the national debt has continued to spiral out of control. In fact, this week for the first time in the nation’s history, foreign interests now own more than $6 trillion in U.S. government debt, according to the most recent Treasury Department report. The Treasury Department’s most recent report on major foreign holders of U.S. debt is current through the end of June 2014. At the end of June 2001, foreign-held U.S. government debt was just under $1 Trillion. Now, thirteen years later, more than $6 trillion of U.S government debt is held by foreign treasuries, central banks, international organizations, banks, corporations, and other agencies.CNS News reports:

Of the $6,013,200,000,000 in U.S. government debt held by foreign interests, $4,108,200,000,000 was categorized by the Treasury as “foreign official” debt holdings---meaning it was owned by institutions controlled by foreign governments.“Foreign official institutions,” says the Treasury, “include the following: 1. Treasuries, including ministries of finance, or corresponding departments of national governments; central banks, including all departments thereof; stabilization funds, including official exchange control offices or other government exchange authorities; and diplomatic and consular establishments and other departments and agencies of national governments. 2. International and regional organizations. 3. Banks, corporations, or other agencies (including development banks and other institutions that are majority-owned by central governments) that are fiscal agents of national governments and perform activities similar to those of a treasury, central bank, stabilization fund, or exchange control authority."The largest share of the foreign-owned U.S. government debt is held by interests in Mainland China, which owned $1,268,400,000,000 in U.S. Treasury securities as of the end of June. (Another $158,200,000,000 is held by interests in Hong Kong.)

In addition to the $6 trillion of foreign held U.S. government debt, the Federal Reserve owns $2.5 trillion in U.S. government debt. This money has essentially been printed out of thin air. The remaining balance of debt consists of $4.16 trillion that is held domestically and over $5 trillion that is held in what the Treasury calls “intragovernmental debt." Intragovernmental debt includes the money raided borrowed from the Social security trust fund to cover government expenses.Add all these insane numbers up and the total U.S. government debt at the end of June was more than $17.63 trillion dollars. For a reference on what a trillion dollars would look like check out this page. There appears to be no end in sight to U.S. government spending. Politicians are constantly creating more avenues for the government to spend money they don’t have. There are no shortages of voting blocs or special interests looking for an infusion of government cash at home and foreign governments have become accustomed to the U.S. military providing for their defense.Something is eventually going to have to give, especially as the dollar is facing an increasing threat of losing its status as the reserve currency of the world. Until that day comes, it looks like politicians and U.S. government cheerleaders in the media are happy to continue the pouring of gasoline on an already out of control fire.Mysterious Phony Cell Towers Intercepting CallsESD America has built an ultra-secure phone, the CryptoPhone 500. It is built on top of Samsung Galaxy S III body and runs on a “hardened” version of Android. It claims to remove 468 vulnerabilities that have been found in the stock installation of the OS.ESD America CEO Les Goldsmith says his mobile security team has found that the standard version of Android OS leaks data to parts unknown 80-90 times every hours (yikes, I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII.) According to Goldsmith this doesn’t necessarily mean that the phone has been hacked, but there is no way for the user to know if the data is beaming out from an app, the OS, or some sort of malicious spyware.Goldsmith shared with Popular Science that there are 17 separate phony cell towers, also called “interceptors” that have been detected around the United States.

To show what the CryptoPhone can do that less expensive competitors cannot, he points me to a map that he and his customers have created, indicating 17 different phony cell towers known as “interceptors,” detected by the CryptoPhone 500 around the United States during the month of July alone. (The map below is from August.)  Interceptors look to a typical phone like an ordinary tower.  Once the phone connects with the interceptor, a variety of “over-the-air” attacks become possible, from eavesdropping on calls and texts to pushing spyware to the device.

“Interceptor use in the U.S. is much higher than people had anticipated,” Goldsmith says.  “One of our customers took a road trip from Florida to North Carolina and he found 8 different interceptors on that trip.  We even found one at South Point Casino in Las Vegas.”Who is running these interceptors and what are they doing with the calls?  Goldsmith says we can’t be sure, but he has his suspicions.“What we find suspicious is that a lot of these interceptors are right on top of U.S. military bases.  So we begin to wonder – are some of them U.S. government interceptors?  Or are some of them Chinese interceptors?” says Goldsmith.  “Whose interceptor is it?  Who are they, that's listening to calls around military bases?  Is it just the U.S. military, or are they foreign governments doing it?  The point is: we don't really know whose they are.”

It has not yet been revealed who is responsible for these alleged “interceptors,” but if I had to bet I’d place my money on the U.S. government. There is no way government officials could not know the towers exist or would allow a foreign government or corporation to run these phony cell towers without U.S. government permission. It seems obvious that the U.S. government is either controlling the towers or is complicit with the entity that is running them.Former CIA Contractor Calls ISIS A Fabricated EnemyA former CIA contractor is making some rather bold claims about the funding sources that feed the terrorist group ISIS and have aided them in overtaking parts of Iraq and Syria. Steven D. Kelley claimed in an interview with Press TV that the United States and its allies are funding the terrorist group that has gained headlines with their brutal tactics, including broadcasted executions of American journalists.Kelley brings up some interesting points. ISIS gained power with virtually no resistance. It has been suspicious how easily they have been able to expand their area of control, while continuing to increase their funding sources.ISIS has been able to acquire their vast wealth via looting, stealing, donations, and oil revenues. Virtually no mainstream media outlets have speculated what countries or organizations are donating to the ISIS cause, and news outlets are not questioning how ISIS is able to bring in $2 Million a day in oil sales? There are many questions surrounding the mysterious funding sources and backers of ISIS. At this point in time, it is logical to leave Kelley’s theory on the table until it is more evidence arises in regards to these questions.Read The Morning Roar every weekday Monday-Friday!The Lions of Liberty are on TwitterFacebook & Google+Receive access to ALL of our EXCLUSIVE bonus audio content – including “Conspiracy Corner”, “Degenerate Gamblers” and the “League of Liberty Podcast” by joining the Lions of Liberty Pride and supporting us on Patreon!
