TMR: Man's Knowledge of Constitution Keeps Warrant-less Cops Out of Home, LA Eateries Add 3% "Healthcare" Fee, and A Perfect, Artistic Political Statement

If you have a Thursday dance, now's the time to unleash it, as it's time for the Thursday Morning Roar! Man Uses Knowledge of Constitution to Keep Cops From Entering Home Without Warrant Avel Amarel utilized his knowledge of his rights to prevent police from coming into his house, warrant-less, and fortunately, it's all on video for us. And it is FANTASTIC.Know your rights and defend them.Los Angeles Restaurants Add 3% "Healthcare" Fee To Checks You may recall my writing about Minnesotans being up in arms about a fee being added to their checks at a local restaurant to cover the added costs of Obamacare. Well, my native L.A. has adopted the practice, and at upscale eateries to boot. I'm sure the Los Angelite liberals will love this newest wrinkle and market response to a horrible law. From Truth Revolt:

Beginning on September 1, restaurants Lucques, Tavern, A.O.C, and a few offshoots all added a 3 percent surcharge to customers' checks, explicitly stating in a press release their decisions hinged on covering employee healthcare costs.Lucques Group, Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne, owners of the restaurants, also named several other restaurant groups that will be duplicating their efforts; Restaurants Rustic Canyon, The Hungry Cat and Melisse were among those mentioned. In the press release, the restaurant owners made sure to mention the business decision had nothing to do with politics, only business. They stated:The major point is that this is not a political statement or endorsement of any kind. Our desire to offer health benefits is not tied to the Affordable Care Act, which at this point wouldn’t require businesses to provide health benefits to their employees until January 2016 at the earliest, and where ultimately businesses of our size might not be required to provide health benefits at all. We are doing this because, quite frankly, we believe it’s the right thing to do, and that as a community of independent and family run restaurants we want to provide the best work environment we can so that we can provide long term jobs and careers for our staff instead of the usual transient employment that is associated with the restaurant business.

Naturally, the restaurants are already being ripped on Yelp by ignorant people who presume that the restaurants should just make less money.Trenton George Washington Statue Has Hands Painted RedA quickie at the end of today's roar - an example of a very poignant political statement about the current environment in which we live, and the blood on the hands of the government - and the populace overall - with its disregard for civil liberties and individual rights. Ferguson is simply the latest example in a long line, and someone in Trenton decided to voice their dissent by painting the hands of George Washington in literal red. Via the Trentonian.redwashWhile the founding fathers never wanted this level of government control to exist, the concept remains quite on point. I hope to see many more monuments caught red-handed.Read The Morning Roar every weekday Monday-Friday!The Lions of Liberty are on TwitterFacebook & Google+Receive access to ALL of our EXCLUSIVE bonus audio content – including “Conspiracy Corner”, “Degenerate Gamblers” and the “League of Liberty Podcast” by joining the Lions of Liberty Pride and supporting us on Patreon!
