TMR: Family Ordered to Dismantle Make-a-Wish Gift, Saudi Arabia Labels Atheists "Terrorists", ,and Don't Ask Harry Reid How He Got His Fortune

Happy Friday! What better way to celebrate than with...wait for it...The Morning Roar!Family Ordered to Dismantle Make-a-Wish Playground Set For Special Needs Child Another day, another insane story of government overreach, this time at the local level. CBS Los Angeles has a report on how the City of Santa Fe is attempting to get between a special needs child and her Make-a-Wish gift:

A family say they feel unfairly targeted by the city of Sante Fe Springs after they were told they had to dismantle a backyard playground that means the world to their special needs child. The Miranda family said the playset was a gift from the Make-A-Wish Foundation for their 10-year-old daughter, Tiffany, whose severe seizure disorder makes it practically impossible for her to go to a city park.“Just just loves it. She’s able to be a normal kid. She has her own special park,” Tiffany’s mother Jessica Torres said.Jessica and her husband, Felix, said they can’t believe the city is telling them they have to take down the playground because it’s allegedly a public nuisance.“When I asked the city, ‘So where do you expect my daughter to play?’ they said ‘Well, the city’s not responsible for your daughter’s disability,'” Torres said. “They said ‘Your Tiffany is not our problem.'”The city manager said he’s concerned for the health and safety of the family because of clutter around the play area.

How nice of this "city manager" to express his concerns for "clutter" around the play area. Last I checked, children's play areas are generally defined by clutter, but hey I'm just an Uncle, so what do I know? Apparently not as much as the city of Sante Fe, which seems intent on violating the rights of the Miranda family by interfering in their private property, and with the raising of their child. In a free society not run by coercive governments, people would be free to form communities and even city-states where they jointly agree on certain rules and parameters for the use of their property, including rules on what type of objects are allowed in front lawns. In this context, no such consensual agreement exists, and the attempt to remove this playground is a clear violation of the Miranda's rights (seriously, no pun intended!)Let's hope we can help shed a spotlight on this story and make this a PR nightmare for the City of Santa Fe until they relent.Saudi Arabia Labels Atheists "Terrorists"Those wacky Saudi royals are at it again! Fresh off a round of beheading its own citizens, now the Saudi government has declared that all atheists are now to be classified as terrorists. Yup, that's right. If you don't believe in some sort of deity up in the sky...you just might be a terrorist. The UK's Independent reports:

Saudi Arabia has introduced a series of new laws which define atheists as terrorists, according to a report from Human Rights Watch. In a string of royal decrees and an overarching new piece of legislation to deal with terrorism generally, the Saudi King Abdullah has clamped down on all forms of political dissent and protests that could "harm public order".The new laws have largely been brought in to combat the growing number of Saudis travelling to take part in the civil war in Syria, who have previously returned with newfound training and ideas about overthrowing the monarchy.

It's ironic that Saudi Arabia would label people "terrorists" for the mere thought of crime of being an atheists while being concerned with having their monarchy overthrown, while at the same time being responsible for funding actual terrorists (including ISIS) who are attempting to overthrow a government in Syria.Stories like this further confirm that those in power in the U.S. government who claim to want to intervene in Iraq and Syria in the name of protecting individual rights clearly have ulterior motives, lest we would be hearing calls for intervention in Saudia Arabia first and foremost.Don't Ask Harry Reid How He Got Rich! We'll cap this puppy off with an entertaining video from journalist Jason Mattera, who decided to ask Harry Reid just how he got so rich working in government. Reid didn't take too kindly to the question and well, you'll see...http://youtu.be/isXauApti2ISo how does Harry Reid make so much money working in government? It's a good question, but irrespective of the details , I'm confident Harry Reid's wealth acquisition via government can be summed up in two words: crony capitalism. For more on crony capitalism, check out my interview with Hunter Lewis on that very subject! Read The Morning Roar every weekday Monday-Friday!The Lions of Liberty are on TwitterFacebook & Google+Receive access to ALL of our EXCLUSIVE bonus audio content – including “Conspiracy Corner”, “Degenerate Gamblers” and the “League of Liberty Podcast” by joining the Lions of Liberty Pride and supporting us on Patreon!
