In this episode of the Lions of Liberty Podcast, we convene another session of our popular feature, "Libertarians in Living Rooms Drinking Liquor!" Host Marc Clair welcomes in fellow liquored-up libertarians Brian McWilliams, John “Odie” Odermatt, and Howie Snowdon. As per usual, the show begins with the gang revealing their drinks of choice.Brian kicks the conversation off by bringing up the Supreme Court’s recent 5-4 vote that ruled disparate-impact claims can be filed under the fair Housing Act of 1968. This prompts Marc to launch into a rant about the overuse of the word discrimination and the group generally agrees that they have no idea how this law can be enforced on a large scale.The conversation pivots to the Confederate flag controversy, which naturally leads the gang to debate if Nazi paraphernalia is banned in the United States. The spirited discussion continues with the group chatting about several topics ranging from the government’s recent publicly crushing one ton of poached ivory in Times Square to the circus that is known as the Republican candidates for president.After a lively debate on Rand Paul’s recent Flat Tax proposal, the group closes out the show talking about….wrestling.
