An Innocent Man on Death Row? Terry Robinson Shares his Story

On today’s episode John is joined by a prison on death row, Terry Robinson who goes by Chanton. Chanton has been a prisoner on death row for 20 years. He was tried capitally before a jury in April of 2000 on the Criminal Session of Superior Court, in Wilson County North Carolina.

The jury found him guilty of first-degree murder. The jury also found him guilty of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. Following a capital sentencing proceeding, the jury recommended a sentence of death for the first-degree murder conviction. Chanton maintains his innocence.
